Abstract

The criminal justice process, known as criminal procedural law, plays a central role in carrying out criminal law enforcement based on the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP). KUHAP has received sharp criticism and spotlight due to its difficulty in adjusting to changing times, resulting in a number of problems, shortcomings, and weaknesses in the criminal justice system in Indonesia. Therefore, it is necessary to reform the Indonesian criminal procedure law. Based on these problems, the purpose of this research is to analyze the urgency and impact of criminal procedure law reform on the criminal justice system in Indonesia
