On the history of surgical treatment of peptic ulcer disease

Abstract

Despite significant changes in the conservative treatment of peptic ulcer, occurred over the past 35–40 years, it continues to maintain a leading position in the structure of gastrointestinal disorders. Development and implementation of eradication therapy have not brought the expected reduction in the number of severe ulcer complications, which have been observed in 1.5–2 times more often in Russia over the past 15–20 years
