Abstract

Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) is a common dermatological condition characterized by darkening of the skin following an inflammatory event such as acne, eczema, or trauma. The condition is often benign, but it can lead to significant psychological distress, especially in individuals with darker skin tones.
