Abstract

Background: Pneumonia is an acute inflammatory process affecting the pulmonary parenchyma, resulting from various infectious and non-infectious agents. It remains a significant cause of morbidity and mortality, particularly in children under five years of age. 
It involves an inflammatory response within the lungs, triggered by the invasion of pathogens or other irritants.
