The Scientific Practical Conference “Topical problems of history and modern development of the healthcare system”, dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of N.A. Semashko will be held on September 24, 2014.

The program will be dedicated to the following issues:

• Scientific and historical analysis of the development of national healthcare of XX-XXI centuries.

• The role of N.A. Semashko in the development of national healthcare.

• Problems of the contemporary healthcare system. The state of health of the Russian population.

• Development of training systems and continuous education for healthcare personnel.

Heads of healthcare institutions and healthcare organizations, professors and teachers, graduate students, medical residents and interns are invited to participate in the conference.

Venue: Moscow, Trubetskaya str., 8, Metro station “Frunzenskaya”, Scientific and Research Center, Conference Hall of the Exhibition and Convention Centre of I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.

A special issue of the scientific and practical journal “History of Medicine” will be published before the Conference starts; the issue will be dedicated to the historical works of academician N.A. Semashko.
