Education
1991 – graduated from Saratov Medical Institute, specialization – general medicine.
2000 – graduated from the Saratov State Socio-Economic University, majoring in accounting and auditing.
2013 – graduated from the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, specialization – state and municipal management.
Academic career
From 1998 to 2002 – worked as an associate professor of urology at Saratov State Medical University, combining work in the department with work as chief physician at the Saratov Regional Hospital for War Veterans.
During this period, the scientific activities of Petr Vitalievich Glybochko were devoted to the study of clinical and practical aspects of benign prostatic hyperplasia (formation) of the prostate gland, which provided a new standpoint from which to assess the causes, develop methods for prevention and treatment of this widespread disease and its complications. This subject was the basis of his doctoral dissertation, which was defended in 2001.
2002-2010 – rector at SSMU. Over the years, the university has greatly enhanced its educational, logistical and scientific base.
Organized the Research Institute of Fundamental and Clinical Uronephrology.
From March 24, 2010 – acting rector of I. M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy.
June 15, 2010 – elected rector of I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University – the oldest medical school in the country.
The author of 23 officially registered inventions and patents.
Honors, Awards and Prizes
Awarded the Excellence in Healthcare medal, the State Order of Merit for the Fatherland medal – 2nd degree, State Order of Honor award, the State Order For Services to the Fatherland – fourth degree, Acknowledgment of the President of the Russian Federation.

P.V. Glybochko’s research interests span the fields of urology, andrology, nephrology, physiology, clinical pharmacology, geriatrics and gerontology and the historical aspects of the development of these clinical specialties.
