Degrees and titles
Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor.
Began active scientific work in clinical residency and in 2002 defended a dissertation for the degree of candidate of medical sciences in the field of “internal medicine and public health and healthcare”.
2011 – Defended dissertation for the degree of doctor of medical sciences on the topic of “Dentistry and dental care in Russia from the 9th to 20th centuries. The main stages and directions in its development”.

Academic Career
From 1990 – worked at the Pushkin City Committee of the Red Cross as a junior nurse caring for patients.
From 1994-1999 – worked as a teacher at Moscow Medical College at the Russian Ministry of Railways’ N.A. Semashko Central Clinical Hospital.
From 2002 to 2003 – worked as a senior lecturer at the Department of Public Health and Healthcare at Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry.
From July 2003 – headed the department of history of medicine. From 2007 – as per the decision of the Academic Council of Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry, elected head of the department – as professor.
2014 – headed the Russian Society of Historians of Medicine, founded April 2, 2014.
From 2006 – Founder and editor of the first professional website on the history of medicine www.historymed.ru. Creator of the Museum of the History of Medicine and Dentistry at A.I. Evdokimov Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry. The museum houses Russia’s largest collection on the history of dentistry and dental care, with more than 5,000 items concerning dental topics. More than half of the items are sourced from the personal collection of K.A. Pashkov.
Author of several documentary films on the history of medicine.

Holds copyright patents for various educational programs.
Cavalier of the Order of Merit and the Order of Friendship.

The history of dentistry and dental care in Russia and abroad, medical museology, scientific organization of the educational process, innovative methods of teaching the history of medicine.
