Synthesized, optical properties and biological activity of copper oxide nanoparticles prepared by various parameters of laser ablation technique in DDW

In this paper, copper oxide nanoparticles were prepared through Q-switched Nd:YAG laser ablation. The ablation process was carried out on a copper pellet that was submerged in double-distilled water. The ablation was performed at two different energy levels, specifically 200 mJ and 400 mJ, and with varying numbers of pulses ranging from 100 to 500 by step 100. The morphological and optical characteristics of nanoparticles were ascertained through the utilization of a UV-Vis spectrophotometer, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). As the laser pulses were increased, surface plasmon resonance peaks were observed in the absorption spectra at 217 nm. Additionally, there was a slight decrease in the optical band gap.
