We invite you to take part in the international scientific and practical Conference “Galen: historical destiny and objectives of scientific research”.
The aim of the event is organization of an international discussion platform at I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. The discussion platform will be devoted to understanding the processes forming and developing the history of medicine as a science and an interdisciplinary analysis of works of Galen.
The Conference will be held on 20-21 November 2014 from 10.00 until 18.00 in the building of the Museum of the History of Medicine of I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University on B. Pirogovskaya str., 2, bld. 3.
The Conference will include presentations by leading Russian and foreign experts in the field of the history of medicine.
Participation is free. Applications will be accepted until October 24, 2014.
Following the conference, a special issue of the peer-reviewed scientific journal “History of Medicine” is intended to be published. The materials (original scientific articles that meet the requirements of the manuscripts which are sent to the Editorial Board) received no later than October 24, 2014, which underwent peer review, will be published in a special issue, as well as in subsequent issues in 2015 in accordance with the refereeing policy of the Journal.
