History

This study consist of synthesized of some of 1-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)ethan-1-one derivatives, firstly, the derivatives E1-E5 have been synthesized by the reaction of the alkyl halide 1-bromopropane , 1-chlorobutane, 1,5-dibromo pentane, 1-bromo pentane and 1,4-dichloro butane respectively with 1-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl) ethan-1-one in the presence of a catalyst of potassium carbonate ,The structures of the prepared compounds were confirmed by the different available spectroscopic methods, such as FTIR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR and mass spectroscopy. The physical properties were assessed. Biological activities of some synthesized derivatives were investigated.
