Abstract
Potato ( Solanum tuberosum L.) is a staple food for Indonesian people apart from rice, corn and wheat. Production of 31.88 thousand tons or 2.42% in 2020 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. One of factor Which influence get off productivity potato that is low quality and quantity of potato seeds. Increase in quantity of potato seed production as well as quality can be done by giving Growth Regulatory Substances (GRS) , to accelerate germination including using the hormone gibberellins. Research in March - June 2023 at the Potato Seed Center, Pangalengan . The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of gibberellins on the growth and yield of potato ( Solanum tuberosum L var . Granola) as well as to determine the effective concentration of gibberellins in accelerating growth . The research method used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 6 treatments and 4 repetitions were carried out for 8 weeks, with treatment G0 = No treatment (control), G1=Giberelin 20 ppm, G2=40 ppm, G3=60 ppm, G4=80 ppm, G5=100 ppm. The aspects measured were plant height and number of leaves and weight of potato plants for 8 weeks after planting ( MST). The results showed that gibberellins had a significant effect on the growth of potato plants as seen from the increase in plant height but not on the number of leaves during 8 WAP, but the use of gibberellins showed no significant effect on potato yields seen from the absence of significant weight gain compared to the control. Meanwhile, the effective concentration of gibberellin to accelerate the growth of potato plants was found in treatment G3 ( 60 ppm ).
