Abstract

Due to its rising prevalence, abortion in women is getting more attention. Abortion etiology and pathology, especially in non-pathological cases, are unknown. In this study, 129 genital swabs were obtained from women in abortion cases in Shahid Dr. Khalid Hospital from Koya. Bacterial genus's unique cultural, morphological, and biochemical traits were discovered, Samples from each type of bacteria were selected for sequencing utilizing 16 rRNA genes examined V4 region for bacterial profiles. Bacterial vaginitis was found in 116 (59.48%) abortion cases. Four Gram +ve and four Gram -ve bacteria were found in these 116 samples. Microorganism distribution varied, Gram positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus (27/23.28%) Streptococcus agalactia (6/5.17%) Gardnerella vaginalis (9/7.76%) and Lactobacillus equicursoris (5/4.31%) (While the Gram –ve representation ratios for Escherichia coli (32/27.59%), Klebsiella pneumonia (23/19.83%) , Proteus mirabilis (4/3.45%) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (10/8.62%) Staphylococcus aureus had the highest number of isolations (27/ 23.28%) (27), at 23.28%, while Lactobacillus equicursoris had the lowest (5/ 4.31%) (five, at 4.31%). Overall, the percentage of Gram-negative bacteria to Gram-positive bacteria was (59.48%) to (40.52 %).
